Woman Identified in Hot Coffee Throwdown

Police identified a woman who went viral on Wednesday after video captured her throwing scalding coffee on a McDonald’s manager after complaining about a long wait time.

The video shows the woman facing the manager at a counter, throwing the coffee at her and uttering, “catch that hot a** coffee” after reportedly waiting for over an hour for an online order.

Police were able to identify the woman within two minutes thanks to local residents providing tips in response to the video being shared on social media.

Third Man Arrested for Halloween Terror Plot

A third man was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly traveling to scout Cedar Point as a location for the Halloween terror plot that led to the arrests of two men this weekend.

Ayob Nasser, a 19-year-old male from Dearborn, was charged for his involvement in the plot that allegedly would have targeted LGBTQ bars in the Suburban Detroit area, as well as an unnamed theme park three hours from Detroit.

Court documents showed Nasser and another person traveled to scout the amusement park twice in September, and records from a computer in Nasser’s home revealed a web search asking, “is it crowded on halloweekend?”

The documents also showed the individual regularly consulting with a local Islamic State extremist. You can see the full criminal complaint here.

List Ranks Best Big Ten Coaching Jobs

A new list from the New York Times’ Athletic ranked the best Big Ten football coaching jobs—and it didn’t necessarily help the in-state debate.

The list ranked the Wolverines at No. 4, surpisingly low to some, but because of some of the inconsistency seen over the previous few decades during coaching turnover.

Sparty was ranked No. 11 on the list due to the large fluctuations seen in success—and a statement I can only quote from the author: “Michigan State will never be No. 1 in its own state.”

You can see the full rankings of all 18 teams here.
