Trump Threatens to Block Opening of Gordie Howe Bridge
In a statement released Monday evening, President Trump threatened to block the opening of the Gordie Howe bridge unless Canada offer concessions to the United States.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated he will “not allow” the bridge to be opened unless the U.S. receives compensation for, “everything we have given them,” and said negotiations will begin, “immediately”
Trump did not specify whether he was referring to being compensated for the cost of the bridge, which is reported to be around $5.7 billion.

Gardner White To Open Eight New Michigan Stores
Michigan’s largest furniture and mattress retailer, Gardner White, announced plans to open eight new locations in the Great Lakes State.
The furniture retailer announced nine total locations, including its first out-of-state location in Holland, Ohio, and its first outlet-style store in Novi.

$160 Million Tech Hub Coming to Grand Rapids
Grand Valley State University is planning to build a $166 million technology hub in Grand Rapids that will feature an immersive reality lab that will allow for group virtual reality experiences.
The lab, a four-story, 58,247-square-foot building, will be paid for with a $139 million bond approved by the Board of Trustees on Friday.
The lab will also include event spaces, a 360-degree display, a cybersecurity lab, and a multimedia production studio.
